Privacy notice
In short: running a check needs no personal data, and we use no cookies. We count visits with our own cookie-free measurement, without storing IP addresses. We only handle your email address if you ask for the full report.
Effective: 22 October 2026
Who we are
The data controller is Weblock Media Ltd (company no. 12103785; 9a Wick Road Business Park, Wick Road, Burnham-On-Crouch, Essex, CM0 8FA, United Kingdom), trading as Weblock Group. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
When you check a website
We keep the domain you enter and its result for 24 hours, so the same address always gives the same result. The result is built from the website’s public data.
To prevent abuse (no more than 8 checks every 10 minutes), we don’t store your IP address, only a one-way fingerprint made from it, which we delete within a day. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
When you ask for the full report
We then store your email address, the domain checked, its result, your language, the time, the wording of your consent and the IP fingerprint.
We use these to send you the report and an offer to fix what we found. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before.
We keep this data until you withdraw consent, and for no longer than two years after your request.
Who can access it
Our hosting and email providers, and our own customer management system, only for the purposes above. We never sell your data or pass it on for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no Google Analytics or other third-party tracking. Even the fonts are served from our own server.
We measure visits on our own server. For each page view we record the page, the referring site’s domain, campaign tags (utm), the type of device, browser and operating system, and the country and city estimated from your IP address. We don’t store the IP address itself. Visitors are told apart by a one-way marker made with a random value that changes every day, so it can’t be linked to earlier visits the next day. We delete this data after 400 days. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or erase it, restrict how we use it, or object to its use. We can also give you your data in a machine-readable format. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), or in Hungary to the NAIH (naih.hu).
